The RISE Summer Internship Program offers unique opportunities in the fields of biology, chemistry, physics, earth sciences and engineering to undergraduate students from the United States, Canada and the UK. The program runs from 1.5 - 3 months and is located in Germany.
RISE interns are matched with doctoral students who will also act as mentors. The program offers opportunities for undergraduate students to work with research groups at universities and top research institutions across Germany.
Benefits:
Scholarship recipients will receive stipends from
the
German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) to help cover
living expenses
and partner universities and research institutes provide assistance
with housing.

DAAD provides a monthly scholarship of Euro 650 for a period spanning 6 weeks to 3 months (pro-rated depending on length of stay) between the middle of May and August. Health insurance is also provided along with accident and personal/private liability insurance. Students will be given assistance in finding housing through the host institution. The scholarship does not cover international travel costs.
